"I'm a performer, but I'm also a woman defining who I am and what I want to do next. Journeying from a singer to a songwriter has been one my most challenging - and proudest - accomplishments. What helped me get here are some amazing girlfriends that have a strong sense of self and great advice. We can all use that support sometimes, and I'm happy to be here lending a hand to you!"

Biggest stress reliever: An early A.M. hike through the park by my house gets me ready for whatever the day has in store.

On my to do list: Live in Paris.

My secret: I'm nervous before every performance. I tell myself I'm really just excited. The way I look at it, nerves just hold you back.

My personal philosophy: Surround yourself with good people and be comfortable with what you're doing.

Favorite alone time activity: Just writing. Getting something down on paper clears my head and makes it a reality I have to deal with.

Can't live without: My iPod - I've always got it plugged into my car, so I can sing while I drive. Music really inspires my mood - and helps me deal with traffic!
